  9.        First things first:

  11.        1. If you register via mail, make all checks or money orders payable
  12.           to:

  23.        2. Starting with JH 3.0, you may charge your new JH 3.0 registration
  24.           or your JH 3.0 Bonus diskette (for registered users) to your
  25.           MasterCard or VISA credit card.  If you select this option, make
  26.           sure to include all of the pertinent information in the
  27.           registration form found at the end of this document. Your copy of
  28.           the credit card charge slip will be sent along with your bonus
  29.           diskette.  If you are in a hurry and wish to avoid mail delays, you
  30.           may order by BBS or by phone (see paragraph 4 below).

  32.        3. If you have a modem (most JH users do), you may also fill out the
  33.           JH 3.0 registration / order script available on the Cheers BBS in
  34.           Johnstown, PA, at (814) 539-6648.  The Cheers BBS Supports
  35.           2400-19200 N-8-1 modem speeds (US Robotics HST protocol and V.32
  36.           Standard).  At the main board prompt, type S, press <Enter>, and
  37.           select the John Hancock 3.0 registration script.  Answer all
  38.           questions accurately.  The script answers are collected daily.

  40.        4. Last, but not least, you may phone in a credit card registration
  41.           order by calling The Silicon Frog (USA Eastern Standard Time on
  42.           weekends and evenings between 6:00pm-10:00 PM) at (812) 372-0832.
  43.           Have your unexpired, legal MasterCard or VISA credit card ready
  44.           when you call, and fill in the order form at the end of this
  45.           document first.  The phone is equipped with an answering machine
  46.           that will let you record a 4-minute message - if no one is there to
  47.           answer, feel free to leave a message with the *complete* order
  48.           information: name, address, items ordered, credit card number and
  49.           expiration date.

  52.        As mentioned in the documentation for earlier releases of John
  53.        Hancock, registered users will never have to register again.  To that
  54.        end, JH3 includes the JH3KEY program which will create a personalized
  55.        JH3.KEY file from the data contained in your JH2 Bonus diskette.
  56.        Registered users may send for the JH3 Bonus diskette at a significant
  57.        discount, and they automatically receive the Hall of Fame files at no
  58.        extra cost.  This practice will continue with future releases of JH.

  69.        You may acquire the following items at the time of registration (or
  70.        when you order the JH3 bonus if you're already registered):

  72.        1. The JH3 Hall of Fame Tag, Tune and Frame files, for $2.50 (free to
  73.           registered JH2 users who send for their JH3 Bonus diskette).
  74.  
  75.        2. A top-quality heavy-duty Silicon Frog T-Shirt, which comes in any
  76.           size, color, and material (as long as it is black, XL, and 50/50
  77.           preshrunk cotton/polyester) for $12.50 + $3.50 S&H.  See the
  78.           registration form for foreign order mail surcharges.

  81.        If you have NOT registered John Hancock before

  84.        Basic registration is $17.50 ($15.00 + $2.50 S&H), which includes the
  85.        JH3 bonus diskette and your personal JH3.KEY file.  See the
  86.        registration form for foreign order mail surcharges.  You may also
  87.        order the Hall of Fame files and Silicon Frog T-Shirt at this time.

  93.        Of course, your name must appear in the JH Registered User Database.
  94.        If it does not, and you're trying to fool me to save yourself a few
  95.        dollars, Guido and Carmine (Vice-Presidents in charge of Customer
  96.        Relations and Silicon Frog Terminators) will show up on your front
  97.        door and will demand an explanation.  You better have a good one
  98.        ready, or be able to swim while wearing 113.5 Kilograms cement shoes.

  100.        If you registered JH 1.0 or if you registered JH 2.0 before January 1,
  101.        1992, you can get the JH 3.0 bonus diskette for $10 ($7.50 + $2.50
  102.        S&H).

  104.        If you registered JH 2.0 on or after January 1, 1992, your JH3 Bonus
  105.        diskette is free - send in the registration form and check the box
  106.        requesting the free bonus.  Your registration date will be verified
  107.        (see paragraph above for additional details).

  109.        All registered JH users who send for the JH3 Bonus diskette receive
  110.        the Hall of Fame files at no extra charge (a $2.50 value).

  112.        If you have lost, misplaced, or re-used your JH 2.0 bonus diskette, or
  113.        the JH3KEY program is unable to recognize it, you must send for the
  114.        JH3 Bonus.  Look at it this way: you've enjoyed JH2 for a while, and
  115.        you are getting the bonus at a 50% discount.

  123.        Make sure you select the right registration option (don't miss out on
  124.        the Hall of Fame and T-Shirt offers), fill in the registration form
  125.        below, and calculate the total amount. Hoosiers, the Governor insists
  126.        that you pay sales tax.  Write your check to The Silicon Frog, Inc.,
  127.        for the total amount, or fill in your credit card number AND
  128.        expiration date, and make sure you sign the form in the space
  129.        provided.

  131.        If you are using someone else's credit card (e.g., your parents' or a
  132.        friend's), the credit card holder's name and address must appear on
  133.        the form, and that person must sign the registration form.  Include a
  134.        note with your own name and address (*your* name will be used in the
  135.        JH3.KEY file).
